What to Know About Copper Sky’s Forever Warranty

A renovation is one of the most important investments that you'll make, and the relationship with your renovation company shouldn’t end when construction does. At Copper Sky, our commitment to your home continues long after your project is complete. Once you’re a Copper Sky client, you’re our client for life.

That’s the idea behind our Forever Warranty. We take pride in our craftsmanship and stand behind the work we do. If an issue related to our craftsmanship arises within the scope of your project, we’ll be there to make it right.

What Does the Forever Warranty Cover?

Our Forever Warranty provides lifetime coverage for Copper Sky’s craftsmanship within the scope of your renovation. It’s a reflection of the care we put into our work and our commitment to being there for our clients long after the project is complete.

This can include things like a cabinet door that is misaligned because of improper installation, a loose tile caused by installation issues, paint that fails because of improper preparation, or a plumbing leak caused by an improperly installed fixture.

Of course, homes change over time. Materials age, houses settle, finishes develop patina, and everyday life leaves its mark. That’s where the distinction between warranty and maintenance comes in.

Warranty vs. Maintenance

Our Forever Warranty covers issues related to our craftsmanship. It does not cover the normal aging and wear that comes with owning a home.

For example, a cabinet door that was improperly installed may be covered under the Forever Warranty. Refinishing that same cabinetry years later would be considered maintenance. Similarly, a tile that comes loose because of an installation issue may be covered, while grout discoloration from every day use would fall under the maintenance category.

Below are a few more examples:

Forever Warranty Maintenance
Cabinet door misaligned due to improper installation Refinishing or repainting cabinetry
Loose tile caused by improper installation  Grout discoloration or normal wear
Paint issues caused by improper preparation Touching up scuffs or repainting over time
Caulk failure from improper application  Re-caulking as materials age
Door not latching due to installation  Adjusting doors or hardware over time
Fixture leak caused by installation  Replacing fixtures or addressing mineral buildup

Even when something falls into the routine maintenance category, homeowners don't necessarily have to find someone else to handle it. If you need help with a smaller maintenance project, our Production Coordinator can help price and coordinate the work, whether that's refinishing cabinetry, re-caulking a shower or adjusting aging hardware.

What Happens After Your Renovation is Complete?

Our process includes two pre-scheduled check-ins after your project is complete. These visits give us an opportunity to see how your renovation is settling in, address any issues that may have come up, and make sure everything is performing as intended.  Beyond these two visits, we will stand behind our work for as long as you're in your home and we will be at the ready should you need us.

60-Day Warranty Visit

About two months after your project is complete, your Project Manager will reach out to see how things are going and whether you’ve noticed anything that needs attention or fine-tuning.

At this visit, your project transitions to our Production Coordinator, who will document and schedule any necessary warranty work and become your point of contact for future warranty and maintenance needs.

1-Year Warranty Visit

About a year after completion, the Production Coordinator will check in again. By this point, you've had plenty of time to live with the renovation through different seasons and really put everything to use.

This visit can be used to address warranty items that have come up, such as minor paint or caulk touch-ups or hardware adjustments. It's also an opportunity to talk about any maintenance you'd like to plan for.

A Renovation Partnership That Lasts

A renovation is a significant investment in your home, and we believe you should feel confident in the work long after the project is complete. Our Forever Warranty is one of the ways we stand behind that investment and the craftsmanship that went into it.

We take pride in the work we do, and we want our clients to feel comfortable reaching out if questions come up down the road. Whether it’s a warranty question or a maintenance need, you can count on our team to help you understand the next steps.
