As the year comes to a close, we thought we would celebrate ten of our favorite bathroom transformations. Some cozy classics, and some bold updates, each design highlights the little details that make a Copper Sky renovation so special. Whether part of a full home renovation in Atlanta or a standalone luxury bathroom remodel, these ten bathrooms stood out for their design, craftsmanship, and the way they showcase the unique style of each home.
This 125-square-foot primary bathroom in a 1920s Gothic Revival Tudor home was transformed into a lavish yet highly functional retreat, one of our most memorable bathroom renovations in Atlanta this year. The primary goals of this renovation were an improved layout and enhanced functionality, achieved by expanding the bathroom's footprint to create a more open and flowing space.
On the floor, black and white octagon porcelain mosaic tiles provide a classic foundation and set the design tone. Drawing inspiration from the home’s original architectural details, custom arched wainscoting in a regal teal wraps the walls, which are crowned with dramatic marble tile that rises nearly to the ceiling, guiding the eye upward. A bespoke curved vanity with a marble countertop and brass inlay detailing offers a sculptural focal point, marrying beauty and utility. Opposite the vanity, a recessed, insulated freestanding porcelain tub commands attention with its curved silhouette, offering a luxurious soak that can be enjoyed for hours. The walk-in shower is clad in floor-to-ceiling marble and features a frameless glass door, built-in bench, and window for natural light.
Throughout the space, brass elements, including lighting fixtures such as the art deco pendant above the tub, vanity fixtures, and mirrors, infuse a sense of timeless allure. Every design choice in this remodel was carefully considered to maximize the bathroom's opulence, resulting in a truly unique and personalized space tailored to the homeowners' tastes.
Step inside this jewel-box powder room, part of a larger renovation of a 1920s Colonial Revival cottage, and you’re greeted with a bold, beautiful first impression. Large-scale striped hydrangea wallpaper wraps the space in soft blues and whites, creating a look that’s both fresh and timeless. Against this dreamy backdrop, the vintage-style turned-leg console vanity brings in warm wood tones often found in historic Atlanta bathroom remodeling projects.
Above the vanity, a scalloped-edge mirror framed in gold mimics the curvature of the marble backsplash, while antique gold leaf sconces on either side of the mirror cast a flattering glow. And let’s not forget the classic gray-and-white checkerboard porcelain tile floor that grounds the space with a nod to traditional design while keeping it effortlessly chic.
This charming kids’ bathroom, tucked inside the same Gothic Tudor home featured above, strikes the perfect balance between playful and ageless. As part of a larger renovation, the goal was to create a more cohesive flow throughout the home after it was previously converted back from a multi-family layout to a single-family residence.
The arched tub alcove steals the show, nodding to the home’s signature architectural details while adding a touch of fairytale whimsy. Glossy ceramic tile in a warm, mid-tone golden brown wraps the tub, shower, and lower walls, bringing texture, depth, and a soft, inviting feel to the space.
A peach-toned geometric wallpaper lining the upper walls provides youthful energy while paying homage to the home’s historic roots with a hint of Art Deco style. The 48” single vanity adds just the right amount of glam, with sleek gold hardware, matte metal trim, and raised paneling for extra detail. Satin brass and milk glass globe sconces flanking the gold framed mirror tie the design together with their vintage detail. The result is a small space that feels fresh, imaginative, and overflowing with character.
Nestled within a beautiful fully renovated Colonial Revival Cottage, this primary bathroom was reimagined as a refined Southern sanctuary, compact in footprint yet rich in detail. Designed as a narrow pass-through to the primary closet, the space is thoughtfully organized, with a double-sink vanity positioned to the left and the shower and water closet discreetly placed to the right.
The materials and finishes were selected to echo the home's classic character while introducing elevated, modern comfort. A custom vanity topped with Carrara marble anchors the room, complemented by polished nickel plumbing fixtures and Lancaster finished hardware. Decorative accent paneling wraps the walls, adding dimension and softness to the overall design.
Underfoot, a custom hexagonal floor, crafted from a mix of black and biscuit mosaic tile, creating a timeless pattern that grounds the room. Above, gold leaf-finished sconces paired with a elegant gold-framed mirror, introducing warm accents that balance the cool marbles and nickel tones.
This primary bathroom renovation offers a sophisticated and approachable space. A checkerboard marble floor in gray and white sets the stage, leading to a spacious walk-in shower framed by an arched entry and glass door. Custom Shaker-style cabinetry provides ample storage, while the vanity’s mix of light-painted and dark-stained wood creates contrast. A marble countertop extends into a full-height backsplash, complemented by polished nickel hardware and wall-mounted faucets. Integrated storage towers enhance organization, and a pocketed door opens to a luxurious custom walk-in closet.
This guest bathroom is a celebration of bold color and refinement, infusing whimsy with vintage-inspired details. Wrapping the room is a striking Neo-Belle-Époque wallpaper, alive with vibrant florals and hidden fairy-like characters emitting a classic enchantment. To balance its energy, the wainscoting and baseboards are painted in black, adding depth and a dramatic contrast.
The flooring features a classic hex matte white porcelain mosaic tile, accented with black floral patterns that echo the wallpaper’s organic shapes. Brushed gold fixtures, from the faucet to the towel rings and lighting, infuse the room with warmth and a touch of luxury. The rich wood vanity adds another layer of texture and richness.
Once a blank slate, this bathroom now bursts with color and personality. It is now a space that feels playful yet pulled together, with every element working to create a room that feels vibrant, inviting, and a little unexpected.
This carriage house guest bathroom blends simplicity with warm, refined finishes. A custom pink floating vanity pairs with a sculptural Copan Blue vessel sink and a slab backsplash cut precisely around the mirror. The countertop extends into a nook with natural wood shelves for added function, complemented by porcelain tile and radiant heated floors.
Unlacquered brass hardware and antique brass sconces add a soft patina, balanced by a blackened steel mirror and matte-black shower panel. The curbless shower features a fixed glass panel, porcelain field tile, and a heated towel bar. Elegant and cohesive, this guest bath offers quiet luxury in a compact space.
Tucked inside a 1920s Craftsman home, this elegant powder bath was carved out of reconfigured pantry and hallway closets to create a space with purpose and personality. While the rest of the home embraces warm, traditional Craftsman details, the homeowners envisioned the powder bath as a sophisticated departure from the expected design style.
Drawing inspiration from the home's original era, the design nods to the glamour of the 1920s with carefully selected Art Deco elements. The lighting and bath accessories bring a touch of vintage opulence, balancing bold geometry with elegant finishes. From the moment you enter, the powder room delivers visual impact with large format black and white floral wallpaper. A satin gold and Carrara marble vanity emit an industrial flare that perfectly ties the design together. Small in footprint but big on style, the space captures the spirit of the Roaring Twenties, proving even the smallest room in the house can make the loudest statement.
Step into a serene retreat inspired by nature’s elegance. This Botanical Guest Bathroom brings the feeling of a secret garden indoors, where lush wallpaper featuring delicate botanical motifs sets a calming and whimsical tone. The floor features a blend of Parma White polished star and matte white cross terracotta-look porcelain tiles, adding artisanal charm.
A brown oak vanity topped with quartz is complemented by champagne bronze hardware. Warm lighting from brushed gold and opal glass sconces and a gold-framed mirror completes the nature-inspired, inviting space.
Tucked inside the lower level of this Hawaiian-inspired Mid-Century Modern home, this compact powder bath shows that small spaces can still deliver. An intrepid wallpaper surrounds this bathroom with forest creatures, wildflowers, and abstracted landscapes bringing in an immersive and deep whimsical feel. A dark blue contemporary bucket sink features a pinstriped pattern that wraps around the curves. Vibrant brass finishes and mirror round out the space to be a quick solace.
Beneath the pattern play, matte black wall paneling grounds the space and adds depth. A sculptural, dark blue bucket sink becomes a standout feature with its ribbed pinstripe texture and gently rounded form. Warm brass plumbing fixtures and the arched brass-frames mirror introduce a hint of quiet luxury. This space feels imaginative, moody, and perfectly self-contained.
