Let’s kick off the conversation with a breathtaking primary suite. This thoughtful space offers privacy with a separate vanity room featuring two ripped-cut white oak vanities. You’ll notice the same rich wood tones in the ceiling beams and custom linen cabinet. Step inside the main bathroom to take in the project star, this slab of Calacatta Viola marble behind the elegant soaker tub seated on classic small-form tile with a border meant to pull in the colors from the stone slab. The fixtures in this elegant shower are brass, further augmenting this look into the realm of timeless and vintage-inspired design.
Located in the basement, right next to the owner's home gym, this modern bath and sauna is the perfect place to unwind after working up a sweat. Our clients can relax sore muscles in the four-person cedar sauna before cleaning off in the shower and drying off with warm towels from the heated towel bar behind the vanity.
With so much punch packed into one bathroom, our challenge was to ensure the space didn't feel overcrowded. We accomplished this by keeping the sauna open to the rest of the bathroom with a simple glass separator. We also needed to ensure every aspect of the bathroom felt cohesive; neolith porcelain slab tiles in the shower and vanity and custom oak cabinetry (stained to match the cedar in the sauna) aided in this endeavor.
Buckhead, Atlanta homes are some of our favorites to renovate. They have so much character — like this 1950s Cape Cod ranch house turned two-story Colonial-style home by our renovations! We love many things about this home, and the primary bathroom is one of them.
Large-format wood-like classic bathroom tiles in a geometric pattern set the stage. Large, ornate mirrors, all brass finishes, and a serene blue custom vanity give the space a peaceful, timeless quality. Blue river-leathered granite on the vanity and in the shower adds a ruggedness that balances the room's many other refined elements. A cute custom floral pattern penny tile in the shower is the finishing touch that completes this spa-like escape!
When space is limited, Copper Sky Design + Remodel can get creative and design a layout that maximizes your space! We carved this guest bathroom out of an oversized hallway and went all out with a timeless bathroom design. Original heart pine floors and unique brass plumbing perfect the vintage feel, while a modified antique dresser plays the main character. The top portion of the marble-topped vanity encases the sink, but the two bottom drawers are functional and provide extra storage. A sophisticated gray wallpaper and marble-tile shower accentuate all these beautiful details.
While the homeowners of this Buckhead home wanted a timeless, relaxing design, their daughters preferred something more energizing! Bright pink tile dominates on both the vanity and shower-tub combo. Slight variations in the tile color (both on the floor and walls) keep the room from feeling flat and add sophistication, even in a space built for children. We mixed custom grout to match the tiles and kept everything else in the bathroom classic white with chrome finishes.

Welcome to one of our favorite tiny spaces that packs a punch! This powder bathroom and adjacent mudroom are loaded with personality. With an inviting window seat and spacious mudroom, the space is inviting and informal. The bold wallpaper, featuring a colorful peacock pattern, adds a touch of whimsy to the bathroom, while the contrasting green trim complements the wallpaper and provides its own playful influence in the color palette. We warmed up this cozy space with a white oak vanity with brass accents.
We love the understated and rich subtly of this meticulously-planned and timeless Lake Claire bathroom remodel. The entire wall behind the elegant cast-iron clawfoot soaker tub features marble tile with rich purple tones. We picked up these same gorgeous tiles in a different size to create texture and interest in the inlay pattern on the floor. The vanity features just a whisper of purple undertones mixed into the gray, creating a subtle continuity that soothes. Bathrooms need mirror space and natural light. We used the mirror fronts on this antique linen tower to supply both. The floating shower seating is one of our favorite features, supported with concealed steel brackets.
We completed this guest bathroom as part of a rear addition that added to a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom home. Here, you’ll see our renovations to the existing bathroom. As the primary bathroom in this historic home for many years, it was important to preserve the feel and charm of the years it has observed. We kept the hardware classic and the layout simple. Space limited our options, so we kept the original bathroom floor plan of opposing tub/shower combination and vanity with adjacent toilet. We replaced a once oversized window with a vintage glass showpiece we scooped up from an antique market and frosted for bathroom privacy. Incorporating authentic pieces from the past can lend continuity to the authentic vintage feel offered by the rest of a historic home. In another nod to the past this bathroom has observed, the owners selected small format hexagonal tile with a border and rich, high-painted gray-blue wainscoting to tie the warm wood and cool colors together in an effortlessly chic and ageless space.
This guest bathroom is the epitome of elegance. Wainscoting, wall sconces, wood paneling, and a dresser-inspired vanity give the space a vintage vibe. The deep green and black floral wallpaper feels both classic and contemporary, and makes a big statement in this small space. Black granite on the countertop ties in with the wallpaper, and pin-wheel pattern tiles keep it simple yet sophisticated. The frameless, uniquely-shaped mirror, which lies on top of the paneling, creates integration in an understated and stunning way.
If you couldn't tell by listening to our exuberant designers, we're passionate about renovating historic homes at Copper Sky Design + Remodel. There's nothing we love more than breathing new life into an old space and helping homeowners capture the majesty of vintage design.
